Saturday stroll

Our Saturday hunt turned into a stroll through the countryside as there were no birds to be found. Literally. We didn’t see a single waterfowl or game bird in the air, on the water, or even bagged by another hunter, and those I spoke with reported much the same thing.

There were a few sporadic shots throughout the day but none of the hunters I spoke with had any birds. However it did give me an opportunity to add some photos of Doc to my album.

  1. Sometimes you get those days. We have had a warm fall. Waterfowl hunting has been scare except hubby had a decent season on the river. The wood ducks stuck around several weeks this year compared to past years.

  2. There’s a lot of timing that goes into it, with the weather and migrations.

Or maybe they just knew you and Doc with your mad hunting skills were coming and stayed away. 🙂
