The Southeast region of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDF&G) held their annual volunteer banquet this past Friday with a catered dinner by Del Monte Meats (that was a treat in itself).

The banquet is held each year to recognize those who volunteer for the IDF&G and for the past few years, my part in volunteering has been handling the Spins (Sophie and Dakota before that) for the youth Pheasant hunts. After a delicious dinner of barbecued brisket, bacon-and-cheese potatoes, salads, and fresh blueberry cobbler with ice cream, came the awards ceremony.

A raffle for several nice items was then held, and the banquet ended with trap shooting for those who wanted to. I shot two rounds of trap, hitting only 12 my first round but a more respectable 19 on my second round.
